Our company is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer according to legal regulations. The person responsible for data protection in our company is the Managing Director, Mr. Christian Schindler.
What Data Do We Process When You Visit Our Website and Why Do We Do This?
Visiting our website is generally possible without directly providing personal data. You do not need to register with your name, etc., when visiting. However, there are situations where personal data is processed. This is described below.
When you enter your data in our contact form (usually your contact details and your requests to us), we process this data exclusively for the purpose of handling your inquiry. The data is necessary for this purpose. However, there are also data that you automatically transmit to us when you visit our website. This includes your IP address. Without the IP address, we cannot display the website in your browser. Furthermore, you, or your browser, transmit the so-called referrer when you access our website via a link. We can see which link you clicked. You can prevent this by not accessing our site via a link, i.e., not clicking a link, but by entering the page directly in the browser. - You have requested something from us for which it is necessary to pass on the data (Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, possibly also Article 6 (1) lit. b GDPR).
- It is necessary to pass on the data out of a legitimate interest. In this case, we first assess whether you might have any objections. If, by common judgment, you would have no objections, we are allowed to pass on the data (Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). An example of this is a criminal attack on our servers. In such a case, we may pass on the relevant excerpts of the log files to the investigative authorities.
- And there is the exception that we are legally obliged to transmit the data (Article 6 (1) lit. c GDPR).
SSL Encryption
To protect your data from unwanted access, we use the SSL encryption method on our website. Your information is then transmitted from your computer to our server and vice versa over the internet using secure SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer). You can recognize this by the fact that the lock symbol is closed on the status bar of your browser and the address line begins with https://. However, despite the SSL encryption method, the risk of unintentional data disclosure cannot be completely eliminated.
What Happens If You Do Not Provide Us With This Data?
If you do not provide us with the necessary data for the delivery of the website, such as your IP address, the website will not be displayed in your browser. If you do not provide us with technical information, e.g., about your browser, the website may be displayed poorly, and some information might be missing. If you do not provide us with data that we use for statistical evaluations, we cannot perform our optimizations. This has no direct impact on you. If you use the contact form and omit data, we may not be able to contact you and accordingly might not be able to process your request or only process it to the extent that you provide us with the necessary information. If data is missing in an application, we may not be able to process it. - in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand immediate correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us;
- in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims;
- in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful, but you oppose their deletion and we no longer need the data, but you require them for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;
